_general appearance: Adelaide has light brown hair that reaches past her shoulder blades, and she usually keeps her hair up in a ponytail. Her hazel eyes seem to have seen much at Hogwarts than she would be willing to tell to anyone and won’t speak about unless it was with those that have been there. She stands at 5’4” and enjoys wearing clothing that is baggy slightly and hangs off her body. She does have a few dresses in her trunk, but would chose to wear jeans and a tee over a dress.

She keeps her appearance well done, but is not wholly worried about it. Adelaide doesn’t fully trust other students that are 3rd years and higher, especially the 6th and 7th years.

_history:Adelaide is the eldest of twin daughters of Artemis and Alec O’Neal, descendants of an ancient American pureblood line. The line is completely separate from the pureblood lines of England, having married pureblood families that have entered England several centuries ago. Adelaide had been taught her family’s history from an early age, alongside with treating everyone else like they were equals, not inferiors due to their blood purity. Growing up in a muggle community, though just on the border of an unplottable and Repello Muggletum spell protected wizard community, Adelaide took making muggle friends in stride just as much as she did making wizard and witch friends. This did not prevent the family from owning a house elf.
At the age of five, Adelaide showed her first signs of having use of magic when she got a hold of Artemis’ wand, which was on an end table, and accidently cast a spell, destroying a lamp. Artemis chided Adelaide at the same time was proud that Adelaide would not be labeled as a Squib. Six years later, Adelaide received her Hogwarts acceptance letter and was taken, along with Aiah who had received hers, to Diagon Alley and bought her school supplies for her first year at the school.
Adelaide’s first day as a Hogwarts student started off normal, she and Aiah wondered what House they would be sorted into. They were joined by three first year boys and already Adelaide didn’t like ‘em. She had a good idea that the three of them would end up in Slytherin. The trio left and Adelaide spent the rest of the trip in peace, reading her Defense Against the Dark Arts book.
When she sat beneath the Sorting Hat, Adelaide worried about being Sorted into Slytherin, knowing full well that there had not been a witch or wizard who had been Sorted into the House that didn’t go evil. She was relieved when she was Sorted into Gryffindor. She went through the school year with little care other than her school work, and heard what happened down in the dungeons of the school when Harry, Ron, and Hermione went after Quirrell.
Second year came along and when the threats of the Chamber of Secrets being opened, Adelaide was being fronted by a number of the Slytherins to get her to see reason, and join their side in purebloods only being taught at the school. Adelaide resisted throughout the entire year, and worried about who would be the next victim. Surprisingly, she was not worried about being attacked but whatever was petrifying students.
The summer between second and third years, Adelaide heard of a prisoner breaking out of Azkaban and was restricted from interacting with her muggle friends in the fear of her telling them what was going on in the wizarding world. Adelaide, like the rest of the wizard world in England, knew the story behind Sirius Black and how he betrayed his friends and killed another. At Hogwarts, Adelaide worried about her safety even with her school work and hanging out with her friends. She was able to visit Hogsmeade with her friends and Housemates. When the Fat Lady was attacked, Adelaide would not go anywhere without her wand, even if it was to the toilets or bathrooms.
Adelaide went out to find Sirius Black the night that Pettigrew returned and was caught up in the events of the night (though she didn’t go with Harry and Hermione back into time) and learned that Sirius didn’t do the crime that he was accused of. She actually felt like she could trust him.
When summer began, Adelaide looked forward to the World Cup that Alec had managed to get for the family. She had a marvelous time and got a number of souvenirs. She was outside the family tent when the Death Eaters attacked and got separated from them. Adelaide managed to get into the forest away from the attack and managed to get up into a tree to avoid being attacked. She hid there until she heard the attack faded and waited for some time before climbing down from the tree and made her way back to the family tent.
When her fourth year of Hogwarts began, Adelaide was introduced to the Triwizard Tournament and was swept up in the excitement for it. She didn’t attempt to put her name in the Goblet, having seen what Fred and George did and what happened to them. She began doing research for becoming an animagus, though none of the books in the library, outside the Restricted Section, seemed to tell her how to take the steps of becoming one. She got a professor to sign a permission slip for her to check out books from the Restricted Section about animagus.
She took the entire year learning how to become an animagus and learned that becoming one took several years and made it her purpose to become an animagus before the beginning of her 7th year at Hogwarts. Adelaide sequestered herself in her room, keeping out Aiah, who by this point has grown distant from her, and focused her attentions on becoming an animagus. By the time the summer holidays came, Adelaide joined her parents in going to Number 12 Grimwauld Place for Order meetings. Her parents were members of the Order, and her continuous study of becoming an animguas while at Number 12 was kept secret from them. Adelaide found the Black Family tree and had a lesson of the family from Sirius about them.
All that summer, Adelaide heard how the Daily Prophet and Fudge dismissed Harry’s and Dumbledore’s claims that Voldemort was back, and sided with Harry. When school began, Adelaide was bombarded with class work in preparation for the OWLs. It also didn’t help that her once favorite subject, Defense class, was stripped of any potential fun and preparation to defend herself by Umbridge.
Adelaide joined the DA when it was clear that Umbridge would not be teaching any Defensive spells for the year and gained experience in new spells, including the Patronus spell and more advanced spells. Adelaide kept all of her animagus doings between herself and her friends. It was not until around Christmas time did she feel like she reached the point to attempt to take on her animagus form. After all, she had spent extensive time diving into her personality. She spent the Christmas holidays with her parents and locked herself up in her room to take the change.
Adelaide found the process of changing from human to animal revolting, feeling her bones, twist, break, or even disappear altogether before finding herself on four legs and covered with fur. She looked at herself in a mirror and saw that she had taken the form of a wolf. She felt extremely lucky that nothing went wrong with the transformation and took her human form. Back at Hogwarts, she went to McGonagall to make sure that she did everything right, with the hope that she would not turn her in. That didn’t happen, under the circumstances that Adelaide does not tell anyone outside the small circle of friends she trusts.
Adelaide was part of the group that went to the Ministry and fought against the Death Eaters that were clearly out matching her and her friends until they got to the Death Chamber. When Sirius was killed, and fell into the veil, Adelaide threw all caution into the wind and chased after Bellatrix with Harry not far behind her. When Fudge and Ministry workers arrived, Adelaide slipped into a fireplace, just before stepping through to be Flooed somewhere, and took her human form to avoid being caught and being sent to Azkaban.
When the summer before her six year began, Adelaide found herself, and her family moving from the muggle community into the neighboring wizard community. Her parents said it was for everyone’s protection, but Adelaide figured it was to keep the muggles safe and to be avoid extreme measures for that. Adelaide was glad that Fudge had been removed as Minister, seeing how he was incompetent as a responsible leader anyway, though she was not wholly sure about Scrimgeour. At this point, or even before, Adelaide felt disconnected from Aiah, who had been sorted into Slytherin. Adelaide was close to her when they were both children, but as they continued through their school years, now Adelaide saw that they were enemies.
Days before start of term for her 7th year, Adelaide heard that Snape had been appointed as the new Headmaster of Hogwarts and that the Carrow siblings had been given teaching positions at the school. She refused to sit and take the reformation of Hogwarts into something short of a detention center for the students. She helped reform the DA, and worked on being a messenger between the different teachers when actual written messages would not work. Now, Adelaide refuse to spent any time than is necessary in the presence of Slytherins or anyone who supports what was being done at Hogwarts and the Ministry since Scrimgeour was killed and Pious was put in his place. She spends her time in the Room of Requirement when it became the headquarters of those who resisted Snape, the Carrows, and Voldemort. She does make trips to the Gryffindor common room to keep up to date on the passwords and anything “important” that was happening at the school.

THE ONLY ONE WHO'S EVER KNOWN
THE ONLY ONE WHO'S EVER KNOWN
ohi, my name's Addy. look, i've been walking on this world for 25, and i'm pretty talented for someone who's been in this game for only 5-6 years. to prove that to you, here is a sample of my lovely work:
Adelaide walked the darken corridors, dashing from shadow to shadow to avoid being caught by any of the 6th and 7th year Slytherins that were out on patrol and the Carrows. She had received a number of messages from the different professors that needed to get to others and Adelaide had to make sure that each of the messages got to their destinations safely. She had done a good job so far with not getting caught, but she knew that there was only a matter of time before she was and was punished for being caught out of the common room past curfew. She stopped, hearing footsteps, and froze, trying to determine in which direction the footsteps were coming from. She slipped into the nearest shadow and was prepared to take her wolf form in case it was someone she did not want to meet in the dead of night.
The footsteps grew closer, and Adelaide’s adrenaline mounted and she watched as Slughorn came into view. She was not particularly fond of the Potions professor, but he was sure better than having Snape or one of the Carrows coming around and catching her. She stepped ever so much into the light so Slughorn could see her. He nodded to her as he walked passed and Sari made a tally for him on the good side. He could have done her in, but he did not. Adelaide continued on her route, glad that she knew where most of the professors made their quarters and the passwords.
