This is Ernie. Call him Ernest, and he'll kill you (no, not really. he'll just angst about his crappy name). He's a Hufflepuff and part of the DA, which he joined in his fifth year. First impression of Ernie is that he's a bit pompous, but he's calmed down a ton since he was eleven. As of late, he's been playing up his pureblood heritage so he's less likely to be punished, but behind closed doors, he's writing down everything that happens to keep records. Ernie's human and makes mistakes, usually in the form of some crazy theory he dreamed up from the tiniest fact, but when he's wrong, he'll always admit it. He's a total Hufflepuff in that he's hard working and loyal and believes in fair play and honesty.

FRIENDS Ernie's got a decent amount of friends. He's not the most popular guy, but he's not a loner either. Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors, Ravenclaws. Throw them at me. Ernie's super loyal and would never stab them in the back. Once you get past the pompousness, he's a great guy. Since Justin Finch-Fletchley, Ernie's best guy friend is gone, he's missing someone to balance out his two best girl friends, Susan Bones and Hannah Abbott. So, whore out your guys because Ernie's got a Justin shaped hole in his circle of friends.

LOVERS Ernie's totally in love with his best friend, Hannah (want ad to come), so he's not looking for someone at the moment. Maybe some exes, but nothing serious. He's only seventeen for Merlin's sake! Ernie's not a one night stand guy, so no to that. I'm pretty open in this category as long as we talk it over and make sure it makes sense.

ENEMIES Ernie gets on people's nerves sometimes because he's always jumping to the wrong conclusion, and he's been doing that for ages. Anyone who holds a grudge for that would definitely be here. Pureblood supremacists are here because although Ernie's pureblood, he doesn't judge people based on that. Anyone that's insulted him or a friend will definitely be on the outs.

Andrew & Ernie
Both in the D.A. but different houses and different years. Perhaps friends through the D.A? And maybe a "hello" in between classes every now and then.

Casper/Theodore & Ernie
Both Death Eaters (Theodore is a death eater to be) so they will be enemies through that and they're in different house's. Both of these guys also think Hufflepuff is a joke, so they will not get a long at all.

And my other student charries are in the D.A. and are mostly seventh years, but not in Hufflepuff. So you can plot how ever you please. Perhaps Savanna and Ernie could have an old romance? They could be awkward during the D.A. meetings.

ERNIE&ANDREW

I think Ernie would be protective of him because he's a bit younger. He'd try to keep him out of trouble when they're not around the DA, since Andrew seems a bit hotheaded, though it probably wouldn't get through to him. When they're there, they'd talk and be pretty good friends.

ERNIE&CASPER&THEODORE

Ernie, Casper, and Theodore would definitely not get along. I don't think he would really intentionally start something with them, but once they get started on him, he'll defend his house and point out that he's a pureblood as well. (p.s. I love Aaron Johnson)

ERNIE&SAVANNA

Oh, the awkwardness. Ernie's got a crush on Hannah now, but he'd totally just sit there and try to start some awkward small talk to make the time go. They both want to be writers, so maybe, they bonded over that when they were dating? She's so studious that their relationship was probably confined to the library, and Ernie would've happily complied to that, especially during test times. Maybe their breakup was a combination of OWLs pressure and the beginning of his crush on Hannah?

ERNIE&OTHER

Your other guy is Noah, right? I don't know how you keep track of so many. As for the rest of them, I think it'd just be that clannish protectiveness over their own kind since they're all in the DA. Nothing special really, just allies against the Carrows.

Yeah, that works! Andrew pretends that he knows everything-- very boastful. So he won't take the advice but he will pretend to listen. Ernie would be a great mentor!

Casper/Theodore & Ernie
Yeah, they're the type of guys that start stuff all the time, they don't care about blood-line once you're in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff. To them it's just a waste of perfectly normal blood. But yeah, they would be the ones that would go hunting him down and stuff.

Savanna & Ernie
Yeah, they could bond over writting! Well perhaps during a fight she cheated on him with ___ Stebbins by making out with him during the Yule Ball? (they had it in the movie and Stebbins was a Hufflepuff too. So it could be like Ernie and Stebbins were friends and Stebbins betrayed him!) but it would make sense that they would break up under the pressure of their O.W.L's and because of his crush on another girl. But by now they could be trying to have a friendship but still being awkward about it.

Noah/Hermione & Ernie
Noah could be a classmate friend, like, Potions partners or help him study and such? Noah is a popular guy. So they would know eachother.

And Hermione would know Ernie from the D.A. and that they were both Prefects, but that's about it.

And it sucks! But I don't have as many as I once did. Haha.

Ernie and Hermione would be on decent terms, I think. They're fighting on the same side and all, but obviously, they wouldn't see each other now.

Sounds good. Just guy friends who hang out and have male bonding time because Ernie needs some male bonding.
