Ernie Macmillan and Hannah Abbott have been best friends since the first train ride to Hogwarts. She was there to listen to him complain about his barmy sister and make many mistakes while gently leading him to the right direction. He was there when her mum died, even going to her house as soon as he could to check on her and help her care for the house and her father. To him, it feels like forever; it certainly feels like forever when he thinks about how long he’s wanted it to be more and finally get out of the friend zone. Beautiful, wonderful, kind, good, vibrant, loving, and caring Hannah, who is everything he’s ever wanted, doesn’t seem to notice him pining, much to his dismay. Until she notices, Ernie intends on keeping quiet because he doesn’t want to mess up their friendship because he truly cares about her; being friends with her is better than nothing after all.
So, canon is Hannah ends up with Neville, but who says there wasn't anything in between. Honestly, I think that it’s not going to work out between Hannah and Ernie if they do get together. He’ll probably still love her, and she will always see him as a great friend no matter what happens between them. They'll just be Hogwarts sweethearts that didn't end up together.
Hannah must be blonde and cannot have, like, insane model cheek bones. She's got to have softer, rounder features. Jennifer Lawrence is just a suggestion because her and Hunter look good together. Just look at him pining for her up there. So, if you don't use her, make sure to run it by me first. Also, you should totally take her because she's Hannah, and who can say no to Hannah (Ernie can't). Plus, she's got a ton of double letters in her name. Isn't that awesome? Go take her.
