Hannah lived a pretty normal life until her 6th year. She lived in the quiet country with her mother and father. Her mom was a witch and her dad was a muggle.
Her mother worked for the ministry of magic and may have held some secrets for the Ministry. She was found dead in Hannah's 6th year and Hannah did not return back that year. So, Hannah must repeat her 6th year but still remains close with all of her friends, like Ernie. Her father does not talk to Hannah much any more now that her mother died and he has started to see the wizarding world as evil. He moved out of the country house into the city in hopes of escaping the Death Eaters.

Hannah gets by with the friendships she has and her mothers optimism. She now fights alongside the DA in hopes of ending the war and bringing justice to her mother's death.
